Copy files to Android tablet PC
Move files between your computer and tablet PC.
There are three methods you can use to copy files to Android tablet PC.
The first method uses a SD memory card where you first copy the files to the SD memory card from the source device, then remove the SD card and place it in the device you are coping files to; then move the files off the SD memory card to the destination device.
How to transfer files using a USB connection?
The second method uses a USB connection between the devices. Most manufacturers include a USB cable with the purchase of a tablet PC. If you do not have a USB cable, you can visit this website to purchase one –> Tablet PC Accessories Store
- Plug the USB cable into the USB port on your tablet pc and then plug the other end of the USB cable into the PC.
- The first time the device is connected to the computer the PC will load up the drivers. If you receive any dialogue boxes to install drivers, click yes to continue. (If your device is not being recognized, visit the manufacturer’s website to download a driver)
- Once the drivers have been loaded. The PC will recognize the tablet pc device as a portable media player. You can click on the My Computer icon. Click on the name of your tablet PC listed as a portable media player.
- Using Windows Explorer on your PC, you can drag and drop, or copy and paste files between the tablet and the PC
There are some apps that will allow you to transfer files using a Bluetooth connection, these work well, however, since this is a relatively slow connection, do not attempt to use Bluetooth to transfer large files.
There are also apps that will allow you to transfer files via Wi-Fi if both the computer and tablet are connected to the same Wi-Fi router. I like to use an app called SuperBeam for this purpose.
