Wireless Connection between tablet and TV
Display video, pictures from your tablet on a TV using a wireless connection.
Connecting a tablet PC to a TV using an HDMI cable will deliver the best resolution and sound experience. However, you are dealing with a cable and the limitations of a leash.
Instead, set up a wireless connection between tablet and TV using an existing Wi-FI network AND if your TV is DLNA compatible.
What is DLNA? The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) enables sharing of digital media between devices such as computers, printers, cameras, cell phones, and other multimedia devices.
There are many TVs that come with DLNA including Televisions from Samsung (w/ AllShare), LG, Sony BRAVIA, Philips, Panasonic Viera, and Toshiba.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet PC also come with AllShare pre-installed and easily connects to a Samsung TV with AllShare via your Wi-Fi network.
Additional DLNA apps that work well are iMediaShare and also UPnPlay. These can be downloaded from Google Play, installed on your tablet, then access your DLNA server to stream video or music. The DLNA server can be any PC on the network that has shared media files.
Once you set up a wireless connection between tablet and TV, you are free to move about as long as you maintain a wireless connection.
