While tablet is charging......
« on: January 04, 2014, 03:55:37 PM »
I have a 9" Lenovo Ideatab A21019, Lithoum-ion polymer battery

Question :
Is it ok to run the tablet while it is charging.
I had googled for an answer. One said it is best not to.
What is your opinion ?

Why the question?
If I were to buy a portable backup battery for my tablet, I would like to run the tablet while it is being charged.

For most tablets, yes it is OK to use the tablet while charging.  The manufacturers advise that you don't because it can slow down or stop the charging process.  Some devices are not very responsive when connected to the power adapter and are nearly impossible to use while charging.
I'd say to give it a try, see how the tablet responds, and see how much the charging process is affected.

Thank you.

I would like to ask another question, please.

My Lenovo Ideatab A2109A has 16 GB storage.
I inserted a 32GB micro sd card with the intention of moving my installed apps from internal storage to my ext. sd card.
However, I cannot find the option to do so.
When I go to Settings > Apps > click at an installed app > the options I see are......
Uninstall, Clear Data, Clear Cache.
No Move to sd card option.
(I had a Hipstreet Flare 9", and it has the Move to sd card option. I gave that tablet away.)

One person said I need to format the sd card.
So, this is what I did......
unmount the sd card > turn off the device > re-mount the sd card > press Volume Up + Power until the android image appears......
Here is where I can't continue. The screen has the following options....
1. reboot system now
2. apply update from external storage
3. apply update from ADB
4. wipe data/factory reset
5. wipe cache partition.

I don't know which one to pick.
Would it be the 2nd option?

Thank you.

Formatting the SD card has nothing to do with this option being available.  Since Android is an open source operating system, the version of Android varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.  It appears that Lenovo did not include the option to move an app to the SD card.

Check PlayStore to see if there is a third party app that will do this for you.
