Copy photos to Android phones or tablets from a PC or Camera
The process to copy photos to Android phones or tablets from your PC is easy to do once you get the two devices connected. You will need to use your USB port to copy photos to Android phones or tablets from your computer or camera.
Most Android phones and tablets come with a USB cable that you can use to connect your device to your computer. The USB cable is the same one that is used to connect to the charger. When you connect your Android device to your computer, it will show up in the file manager as another connected device. You can easily drag and drop, or copy and paste photos or other file from your Android to your PC. Sometimes, the first time you connect your Android phone or tablet to your PC, it will take a minute to download a driver to help with the connection. You may have difficulty connecting an Android device to an Apple PC.
If you have a digital camera with a USB port, you should be able to connect your camera directly to your phone or tablet using the USB ports on both devices. When you open the File management app on your tablet, you should be able to see the camera as if it is another storage drive.
Copy the photo files you want and paste them into the Pictures folder on your Android phone or tablet. If you have Android version 3.2 or higher, you may be able to remove the memory card from the camera, insert it into your phone or tablet, and then copy the files from the memory card to your phone or tablet. The most universal method, which works with all versions of Android, is to copy the photos from your camera to your computer. Then connect your phone or tablet to your computer via USB connections and copy the files over to your tablet.
