Create PDF files on Android Phones or Tablets

How to use PDF files on Android

Create PDF files on AndroidTo create PDF files on Android phones and tablets is to convert file formats into a standard file format that is compatible with nearly every computing device.  PDF files can be opened and read on Android devices, iOS devices, Microsoft Windows devices, etc.  One nice advantage of using PDF files is that they cannot be changed by anyone who is viewing the files.  It is much more secure to send a PDF file to someone rather than an MS Word file.

Android devices can create PDF files easily and conveniently.

You can create PDF files on Android phones and tablets from supported file formats, located on your Android phone or tablet, including:

  • MS Word (docx, doc), Excel(xlsx, xls), PowerPoint (pptx, ppt)
  • Adobe Illustrator (ai), Photoshop (psd) and InDesign (indd)
  • Images – JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF
  • RTF, Text and WordPerfect

There are several apps on the Google Play store that will create PDF files  from one of the above formats.  I recommend you download the Adobe Acrobat Reader: PDF Viewer, Editor & Creator app from Google Play. (“How to Install Apps on Android Phones and Tablets“)

After you have installed the app, you can create PDF files.  After the files are created, you can easily email them to anyone.

Google Play will not allow you to install apps.
If you cannot install Apps from Google Play, you may need to reset the app on your Android phone or tablet. Sometimes an app can become corrupted with missing or damaged files. When this happens, you should reinstall the app.
