How to Delete App Data and Cache on Android?

delete app data and cache

Delete App Data and Cache

There are times when you need to delete app data and cache for Android apps.  Perhaps the app has stopped working, or your getting a message saying the data or cache is corrupt. Or perhaps you want to start fresh using the app. Sometimes when upgrading to a newer version of an app, the upgrade process will cause a problem with the existing data or cache.

If you have uninstalled an app, sometimes the uninstall process will not clean out all the data created by the app.  If you are using an app that creates and/or uses a lot of data, you should complete this procedure first to delete app data and cache, then perform the uninstall.
